LARGE PLASTIC DEFORMATION
Where plasticity matters
At TECHDYN we are specialized in characterization, modelling and simulation of materials undergoing large plastic deformation. These capabilities are essential for improving production process and accelerating products time-to-market in those industrial sectors (automotive, aircraft, home appliances, and food industry) that make extensive use of sheet metal forming processes.
The ability to correctly predict deformation, spring-back and eventually fracture occurrence relies on accurate description of material plastic flow, anisotropy and damage. We use state-of-art modelling capabilities and continuously contribute to development of new and more refined material models.

Current areas of activity

Areas in which we are particularly focused on improving the services and opportunities we provide to our customers include the following:
Material modelling
Increasing the complexity of material model formulation results in larger number of parameters to be identified. We help in selecting the model formulation that is more appropriate for your material and in planning the exprimental campaing necessary for model parameters identification including texture.

Damage modelling
We have developed a sofisticated damage model framework to predict the occurrence of fractures during the manufacturig process helping in saving time and money.

Testing
We perform all tests, nescessary for your model parameters identification (tensile tests on notched and shaped coupons, Nakazima test, buldge test)
Simulation of fracture in Nakazima test of copper sheet
