TECHDYN Engineering is a research and development company - spin-off of the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, Italy. The Company  is specialized in design, analysis and testing of traditional and engineered materials under extreme operative conditions with particular reference to high strain rates, elevated temperature, impact dynamics. Our business areas include:

INVESTIGATING MATERIALS UNDER EXTREME DEFORMATION

TECHDYN and Chalmers University (Sweden), developed a methodology based on quantitative microscopy (EBSD) to support material modelling under large deformation and high strain rate. Dynamic tensile extrusion test, performed on pure copper at 400 m/s impact, was used to get information about microstructure evolution.

e-Xstream engineering, an MSC Software Company, leader in non-linear multiscale material modeling solutions, today has announced the collaboration with TECHDYN Engineering for advanced mesoscale modelling and the inclusion of Digimat software in the Computer Aided Design and Analysis course of University of Cassino and Southern Lazio - as a continuation of a long term collaboration between the University and MSC Software, 100% owner of e-Xstream.

2013 ASME PVP STUDENT AWARD
July 20, 2013
Gabriel Testa received in Paris, France, the 2013 Pressure Vessel and Piping International Conference Student Paper Competation award for a technical paper presenting the procedure for the dynamic fracture toughness determination using Hokinson bar and circumferential crack bar geometry sample.

NUCLEAR POWER PLANT DECOMISSIONING
In collaboration with the University of Cassino, Techdyn Engineering is carrying on a study on the integrity assessment of containers for the storage of irradiated materials resulting from decomissioning activity in Italy.

STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY OF NUCLEAR COMPONENTS

The company is developing for a major piping manufacturer a structural integrity assessment program of fittings for nuclear power plant application.
